No Added Nitrite Streaky Bacon Rashers
We replaced E250 (sodium nitrite) from this cooked bacon, with a natural antioxidant, whilst matching the cured colour and cured flavour of a traditional bacon. We used a range of fruit and spice extract, rich in ascorbic acid and polyphenols, which act as both a preservative, and provide a natural colour to the bacon.
